Halfway through November!

The month of November has been such a busy and fun month for us so far! I can not wait to see what the rest has in store.
We went to Washington at the beginning of the month. Just a quick trip to attend my bestfriends baby shower. That was crazy & fun all mixed in 2 days of not enough time! Not to mention that was the first time anyone from back home met chunky, including my mother!
My chunkers did so good on all the plane rides. I was so nervous, I thought he would cry. I should have known, my manly kickass baby doesn't cry! Even when there are other babies on the plane screaming their brains out!
I am thankful we got to visit and attend Charli's shower! We can't wait to meet baby Cohen.

Waiting patiently to board our plane!:)

We made It! Getting held by my two aunties!
Getting to finally meet my grandma! Aka tita!:)
My sisters and I.
My bomb ass chicken yakisoba that I crave all the time because the state of Kansas doesn't believe in real Teriyaki restaurants!

Thanksgiving festivities!

I can not believe the month of November is almost over! This month flew for us! I am so excited it is almost over though,  that just means it is time to stuff our faces with delicious meals and start decorating for Christmas! Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la!

This year we plan on going over to my in laws for thanksgiving, like we have the last couple of years. On Friday instead of going black Friday shopping we are going to have our own little thanksgiving dinner at our home! First time I will be making my own Turkey without any help! Also excited to start this new tradition for us since it is Emerson's first thanksgiving! :)
On Saturday if the weather allows it, husband and I plan on going shooting! Its been months since we last went so we're pretty excited!

October wrap up

This year has been allot of fun on holidays!  I have dressed Emerson up according to every holiday we've had so far! Who says you can't accessorize a boy? Ok don't let my husband hear me say that, but he knows how I feel!
October was allot of fun for us. We got to take Chunks to two different pumpkin patch's & we got to dress him in the Halloween spirit all month! Plus his Halloween costume was the cutest!

Love that little monster booty!
Cutest little bums I've ever seen!;)

Weekend fun!

On Friday we did our usual pizza and beer! Saturday morning we had biscuits and gravey! Yum! After that we decided to go to the pumpkin patch for chunks first pumpkin picking!:) we had a blast! It was a little breezy so we made sure chunks was bundled! He looked so stinking cute, even though he wasn't his usual smiling self because nap time was interrupted.
Sunday was filled with football! Since my Seahawks were on tv, husband decided it would just be another pizza day! Man I love that man!

Christmas in September!

This weekend our dryer decided to hit the road. My handsome little handy man tried to fix it for us but it ended up being the motor. So that will cost more to fix than to just by a new one!!! But thank God my mother in law knows someone, who knows someone, who is getting rid of one!!! Whoohoo! We will be saving on that ginormous unexpected bill on a appliance for now!  Well since our dryer died right after I had washed all of our blues (which so happens to be all of chunkers pj's) I decided to try on a Christmas sleeper I had bought in the clearance rack for $1.00 last yr. Those darng things fit like a glove!  According to the size they are not suppose to fit till December!  Hello! How was I suppose to know my little 4mo old baby was going to be wearing 9mo clothes! But there is nothing wrong with a little Christmas spirit, especially if you're clean!;)

Yay fall is finally here!

I have been anxiously awaiting this weekend! There is nothing better than kick starting fall when its actually fall!  Even though our house gets decorated with all our fall goodies as soon as September 1st hits the door! This weekend was filled with football, beer, chimenea (since it cooled down to the 50's!) pizza, tomato sauce smothered burritos (my own creation) and....Chilli! to welcome fall!:) oh I love fall/winter foods!

I can not wait to take the little chunky monkey to the pumpkin patch, wear my boots & pair them with a scarf!! Make tons of delicious fall foods in the crock pot/go crazy with baking!!

4 month update!

Emerson had his 4 month appt! He is such a big boy! I can not believe how fast four months just flew by. He is so alert,  always screaming & laughing. He even is a little dramatic and has a fake little laugh. I wonder who he got that from?
4mos stats: weight 15 lbs 9.5 oz
Length 25.5 inches long. Going to be taller than me in no time!
Milestones: he is now sleeping in his crib! Aww so sad to me. But why else does he have his own room?!
He started eating rice cereal! It was the cutest thing. He was attacking the spoon like a fish would snap at bait! Cutest thing ever!

My Pregnancy...

Looking back I will say my pregnancy was pretty easy. I did get a little nauseated at the beginning, but i would just eat some crackers & drink water w/lemon & it would go away. My best trick was to not have an empty stomach in the morning! I did have normal aches & pains, that related to growing a little human!
Other than that I wasn't terribly sick or miserable, I stayed very positive & busy which I think that helped allot.

Since the first day we found out I was pregnant, I was terrified! This tiny little baby was going to be growing inside me for the next 9 months!
The whole time I was pregnant I could not get over how weird chemistry was... Think about it, the egg, the sperm, the uterus, the whole thing is just nuts!! It's just crazy how much detail goes into all of it to create the perfect little human.
Thank you God!!!

Bringing home baby!!

Since being at the hospital for 2 whole days, we could not wait to go home & sleep in our own bed. The hospital that we stayed at did such a good job taking care of us, but man did we need our own space! Not to mention that I am very well taken care of at home;] Thanks to my STUD HUSBAND! (Don't know what I would do with out that MAN!)

Getting ready to go!=]

Finally home & crashed in Daddy's arms.

Induction was Scheduled!!

It started out on Tuesday April 30th at my 38 week appointment, we were so excited, we were so close to being done!! Everything was going good, I was only dilated to a one & a half but my Dr. decided it would be a great time to talk about scheduling an induction, no medical reason, just did not want me to go the full 40 weeks. It was a very scary thought but then again it was a great idea, since we would for sure have a baby by Cinco De Mayo! So that was the date I was to go in and get induced, Sunday MAY 5th!! OMG, How cute would that be? A little Mexi baby born on a delicious Mexican Holiday! I could not wait to tell the world!!
I returned to work Wednesday May 1st, I was talking to the girls about their birth stories & how I just felt off that day. They all kept on teasing me & telling me the baby was going to come before my induction date & what I needed to do to kick start labor! One of my co-workers said I needed to eat greasy food. LOL! But Some fried chicken Tacos did sound BOMB dot COM! So there you have it after work I went home & cooked husband & I a delicious Mexican feast with all the works. While eating dinner I kept getting these cramps here & there nothing big, so I didn't mention it to my husband. I just kept chowing down what I could, which to my disappointment was only about 3 tacos. Another reason this baby needed to be out! I could barely eat & man do I like to get down on some food!
That night before going to bed I told Bryan I kept on getting little cramps & we should just go to bed early. We went to bed & MAN was I a mess in my sleep! I kept getting woken up to these sharp cramps, which I kept on ignoring since sleep was much needed. I finally woke up to a really painful contraction around 5 o'clock in the morning, I went to the bathroom, saw some blood in the toilet (sorry TMI!) & woke husband up! I told him in my confused/shocked/sleepy state of mind that I thought we needed to head to the hospital but first I needed to shower! That's when hubby started counting my contractions, they were coming 7 mins apart. YIKES
We finally got to the hospital around 7 am. The hospital that we went to was great, they hooked me up to the monitor & did their testings. My contractions had slowed down at that point, we thought for sure we were going to get sent back home. When the testings came back, they discovered that my water had broke! Oh man, we were not going to be sent home & this was not a false alarm!!!
What better day to have a BABYYY!!!

The weather was Perfect! Well at least for us. It was raining and chilly, and some how it managed to snow that day?! It was definitely perfect Washington weather.
After being in the hospital for a few hours I was hooked up to some Pitocin, that's when my contractions started coming in left & right, I seriously had 7 contractions in 10 mins. Please believe I jumped on that epidural wagon as soon as it came my way! After that I felt as if things were starting to slow down for me, but not for Baby... Every time I would have a contraction his heart rate would drop. I was placed on oxygen, I was moved to different positions- finally one of the Dr's came in & told me they wanted to monitor the baby better by putting an internal monitor next to baby's head.

Once they did that baby's heart rate was doing well for about five mins, after that, his heart rate dropped in the 70's & kept dropping...
All of a sudden all these nurses came in the room & unhooked me from everything & ran me down to the Operating Room. I WAS GOING IN FOR A C-SECTION! All I could think of was the little baby inside me & where the heck they left my husband! I wanted my husband next to me & our baby to come out just fine!!
It seemed like forever, but it only took about 5 minutes, they had Bryan next to my side & then they had that baby came out just fine!!

Emerson Bradley Sears, 6lbs 3oz & 19 inches long entered this world May 2nd at 1:55pm. The little bean did not want to wait on his Cinco De Mayo Celebration.
